Gastric Balloon Procedure
Removal Procedure
Patients will be advised to have only liquids on the day before the procedure. Balloon retrieval is carried out under intravenous sedation under the supervision of an anaesthesiologist similar to insertion of the balloon.
The removal procedure is very straightforward and patients will be able to be discharged under the care of a responsible adult shortly after the procedure and the anaesthesia has worn off.
