Hello
I am not able to find Liquid Tylenol but my pharmasist recomended the following in its place
liquid Acetaminophen Solution
160mg/5ml for $20
Cherry Flavoured
This is for children and dose is administered orally according to age every 4 hours but not to exceed more than 5 times daily for a maximum of 5 days.
The highest age is under 12 years: dosage is 15 ml (480mg)
The pharmacist said an adult could take this but I think I would have take allot to have an effect after surgery. If I can't find liquid tylenol what other options do I have?
Thanks
Lisa

Liquid Tylenol
Hello Lisa:
It is our understanding that liquid Tylenol (acetominophen) is only available in a childrens formulation as you have indicated.
I believe that some patients use the liquid formula in the apppropriate dosage and some will crush a Tylenol caplet.
You will likely get some helpful information from other patients if you post this in the General Message part of the forum. I suspect if you search the postings that you will likely find the same issue discussed there at some point in the past.
Best Wishes
