Rose Sciotto
Senior Patient Coordinator
Rose grew up in North York, Toronto and worked in banking and personnel for five years before she became a Patient Coordinator with the Plastic Surgery Clinic in October 1998. Rose has been an integral part of the Surgical Weight Loss Centre team since its inception in January of 2005. She has witnessed firsthand, time and time again, the success achieved by our patients and their transforming weight loss journeys. She finds it rewarding to help our patients feel confident and assured during this process. Rose lives in Brampton and enjoys spending time with her husband and two teenage boys.
Catherine Maticiw
Patient Coordinator and Event Planner
Catherine was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia then lived in Winnipeg where her father was a teacher of the deaf at the Manitoba School for the Deaf. She then moved to England where she lived for 20 years. Catherine joined the airline business in 1983, which took her all over the world and gained a wealth of experience in customer relations.
Catherine is married with two children and lives in the Port Credit area which enables her to either walk or bike to work. In her free time, Catherine enjoys volunteering at the local school for various tasks such as fundraising, making costumes and organizing reading programs for children. She also enjoys spending time with family and friends, sewing, gardening and taking long walks with her dog Duke.
Claudia Capolupo
Patient Coordinator
Claudia was born and raised in Toronto where she was involved in many multicultural activities such as Spanish dance and a Steel Drum Band. Claudia studied psychology at Ryerson University. Upon finishing school, she moved to Mississauga where she continues to reside with her husband and son.
Prior to her role at the Surgical Weight Loss Centre, Claudia was employed with an innovative naturopathic clinic where her keen interest in health care was further enhanced and developed. In her free time, Claudia enjoys yoga, swimming, theatre as well as traveling with her family.
Clarissa Aznar
Patient Coordinator
Clarissa graduated from the University of Guelph-Humber where she received an Honors Bachelor of Administration with a specialization in Small Business Management and Entrepreneurship. In addition to this, she has also earned a Marketing Diploma and Certificate from the Humber College Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning. Clarissa completed an internship at the Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation where she was later hired as a Marketing Coordinator for fundraising efforts with the Ride to Conquer Cancer.
Clarissa enjoys cooking, travelling and photography. Her future goals include opening her own restaurant and getting a stamp of Italy on her passport.
Faiza Siddiqui
Patient Coordinator
Faiza was born in Karachi, Pakistan and raised in Saudi Arabia. Due to her father’s international career as an ENT surgeon she was exposed to the world of medicine at a young age. She has travelled extensively and her family immigrated to Canada in 1997. After completing high school in Toronto, Faiza completed a B.Sc. in Biological Science (Honours) from the University of Windsor. During her university years, she also worked as a research assistant in the biotechnology department.
Faiza has a keen interest in the areas of health education and patient care and has volunteered extensively at a number of hospitals. Faiza lives in Mississauga with her husband and in her spare time she enjoys cooking, traveling, reading and spending time with her family.
Sally Smith
Patient Coordinator
Sally Smith brings to the Surgical Weight Loss Centre her experience in hotel management, banking and sales, all places that illustrate her interest & enjoyment in working with people. Born and raised in Florida, she is a graduate of Florida State University, with a degree in Business Administration. She later received a certificate in publishing and worked with a children's book publishing company for three years. She moved from New Hampshire 13 years ago and currently resides in the Port Credit community of Mississauga with her husband and her two teenage children. Sally is an avid reader and enjoys outdoor activities, sailing with her husband, walking her Golden Retriever and spending time with her family and friends.
