Sue Duncan B.A., R.N.
Clinical Nurse Specialist
Sue graduated from the University of Western Ontario with a B.A. in psychology and then later obtained a diploma in nursing from Ryerson P.I. She is a member of the Registered Nurses Association of Ontario and has extensive background experience in ICU, CVICU, CCU, research and weight loss.
Sue joined the Surgical Weight Loss Centre team in 2006 and has developed a passion and expertise in caring for bariatric patients. Sue lives close to the clinic in Mississauga and enjoys running, skiing, reading, travelling and spending time with her husband and three children.
Tammy Mitchell, R.N., C.B.N
Clinical Nurse Specialist
Tammy graduated in 1989 from St. Clair College in Chatham, Ontario. She completed her OR Certificate from Conestoga College in June 2006 and received certification as a Certified Bariatric Nurse in September 2009 from the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery. She has experience in the areas of General Medicine, Cardiology, Obstetrics and Family Medicine. Tammy is a member of the Registered Nurses Association of Ontario.
Since joining the Surgical Weight Loss Centre team in 2006, Tammy has developed an expertise in caring for bariatric patients. Tammy lives in Brampton with her husband and four children and enjoys reading, running, travelling and spending time with her family.
Debbie Gallagher, R.P.N.
Clinical Nurse Specialist
Debbie graduated from the Royal Cornwall School of Nurses in Cornwall, England in 1981 following which she worked as a State Enrolled Nurse. She completed a post-graduate Certificate in Otorhinolaryngology in 1985. Upon moving to Canada, Debbie attended George Brown College and completed her Medical Certification in Pharmacology and Theory of Administration. In 1987 she completed her Canadian R.P.N. Equivalency Exam. Debbie has worked as an operating room nurse since 1985 and now has extensive operating room and outpatient experience.
Debbie has been an integral part of the Surgical Weight Loss Centre team since 2006. She lives in Mississauga with her husband and daughter and enjoys travelling, reading, crafts, and volunteering as a trainer on her daughter’s hockey team.
